What career outcomes can I expect from the MAMFT?

NU students report strong career outcomes and competitive earnings. Over 95% of our MA in Marriage and Family Therapy graduates are employed in an MFT-related position.

Do I need the GRE or GMAT to apply?

No. The MAMFT does not require the GRE, GMAT, or any other entrance exams. The program is designed to remove common admissions barriers for students ready to prepare for therapy practice.

What does COAMFTE accreditation mean?

COAMFTE accreditation indicates that the program meets national standards for clinical training and is recognized by state licensing boards nationwide. NU was the first distance-based education MFT program in the U.S. to earn COAMFTE accreditation.

Will this program prepare me for state licensure?

The MAMFT curriculum is designed to align with licensure requirements in many states. Because state requirements vary, you’ll want to confirm specifics with your state’s licensing board before enrolling.
